Sabrina Caires is a writer and editor of non-fiction and fiction. She is based between Melbourne and Sydney.
She has been published both in print and online in Broadsheet, ACMI, North West City News, Southbank News, Docklands News, CBD News, Inner City News, Catalyst, The Dialog, Aussie Theatre, Sungenre, Judy’s Punch (2020 Issue, ‘Chrysalis’) and more.
In her non-fiction writing, Sabrina specialises in all things arts, culture, entertainment, lifestyle and food. Trained in journalism and arts criticism, she writes features, profiles, interview pieces, reviews and news stories.
Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) from RMIT University and a Diploma of Entertainment Journalism from the Australian College of the Arts (Collarts). In 2024, she won the Mindframe award for mental health reporting by a student journalist.
Sabrina is an aspiring novelist — as of 2025, she is working on the manuscript for her first novel. She has also been selected as a participant for Express Media’s 2025 Toolkits: Fiction writing program.
